Joshua's Surprise Visit

Joshua (Joseph's younger brother) called me a week or so ago and told me he was going to be on the east coast for business and wanted to surprise Joseph and come for the weekend. It was definitely a surprise - I left for a friends birthday lunch on Saturday morning, and came back with Joshua. Joseph was definitely surprised and SOOOO happy to see him. While he was here he visited a few of our favorite "pittsburgh" restaurants - Pamela's Diner (delicious breakfast) and Five Guys (for hamburgers and fries). Joshua also helped clean out some of the basement, enjoyed a Bon Fire with dental friends at the Gneiting's Home, went with us to church, and was able to meet Joseph for lunch on Monday and check out the dental school. We had a great weekend and are so glad the Joshua took the weekend to spend with us. Thanks again Josh!

Comic Relief

I am writing this post for no other reason than for comic relief. So, today I took Anna (my sweet sister-in law that has 6 kids of her own, but took 3 days out of her life to come help me) to the airport. This ends our long line of wonderful, loving, kind family that has been her with us to help before and after the babies. As I pulled into the driveway - I had two girls who had to go potty (they both did go before we left), 2 screaming babies (I did feed them before we left), and 1 sick Eva who had just filled her diaper with diarrhea (she hadn't thrown up or have diarrhea all morning). You think that was crazy... I was locked out of our house. My in-laws brought us their van a few weeks ago and I have driven it maybe twice. It only has a big single key and I didn't even think to grab both sets of keys. BUT - don't worry I finally managed to get in, the girls both made it to the bathroom without accidents, Eva got a clean diaper (did I mention that I of course didn't happen to have an extra with me in the car), and the kids didn't starve!!! WOW - if this is what the first day was like - I'm sure tomorrow will be better!!!

Like I said - our sweet Eva has the stomach flu - remember comic relief!!
