Babies in September
Our babies this month are really becoming more and more NOT babies! It is making me a little sad (okay a lot sad) to see them so mobile and independent. This month they have gotten very fast at moving - Talee uses her arms in a butterfly motion and Tate does the army crawl. Each of them can crawl on their hands and knees at least 5 or 6 times, but both think it's faster to get where they are going the other way. They are pulling themselves up on everything, Talee got her first tooth and started to clap. They are just SO CUTE, I still can't believe we have twins. Where did the past 8 months go?

Kiah's New Friend & New Teacher
Kiah has made some new friends at school. Up to this point most of her friends have been girls, so making new "boy friends" has been a new experience for all of us. Okay, so it's not any different, but cute. Kiah has changed classes from the original class she started in. They added another kindergarten teacher due to over enrollment and moved all the kids around to make the classes even. So her new teacher is Mrs. Sperduto. Kiah seems to like her, she says she misses her friends (only one of her new friends moved to this new class with her) but at least gets to see them after school for a few minutes. One of her new friends, Keller, has a bit of a crush on her. His mom told me that when he found out Kiah wasn't going to be in his class anymore he cried. Then he showed up the next day with a little piece of paper for her with his phone number on it and brought her a picture of a rainbow. The next day he came to school with a little piece of paper with his address on it and a picture of a heart. Then the next Monday the little paper had his zip code on it and another picture of several hearts. We decided to invite he and his mother over for a play date. Cute kids!

MALEA TURNS FOUR!
September we celebrate birthdays all month long. Our Malea turned four. She is sure growing up. She's is still quite mischievous, but at least not destructive (at least not most of the time). She just has Eva do the destructive stuff - or at least she says its Eva. She still loves to dress up, change her clothes a million times, dance, and take care of the babies. But now she is emptying the dish washer, going to school, and even has started to read.
We had a special breakfast for her on her birthday morning, but enjoyed dinner out the night before. A few days after her birthday she got to take cupcakes to school and they sang to her and gave her a special crown and present. As you can see she wasn't feeling well (which we didn't know until we got there with the cupcakes - she left feeling fine). We took her right home and she slept for 2 hours (which never happens) and then she woke up and threw up on the floor. Oh, the joys of parenting. Funny how you always feel better after that. She hasn't slowed down since!
Joseph and Lisa TURN ...
Joseph and I enjoy birthday morning breakfast in bed (or another morning, if your spouse leaves on his birthday before anyone else wakes up). We also had the Button family over to sing to us and share cake. Later that weekend we enjoyed a birthday dinner at Cheesecake Factory with a few of our dental family. Thanks guys!
Malea's First Day of Preschool
Our sweet little Malea started attending a "free" preschool program four mornings a week. She was so excited to be a "big" girl and get to go to her own school. She wanted to make sure she got the same treatment that Kiah had when she started school. She told us what she wanted specifically: A special breakfast on the "special" tray, a special Daddy's blessing, a milk shake the day before, and a picture. So easy to please. Finley Waits is her little friend that she carpools with. They are two peas in a pod. Darling trouble together!
Uncle Alan Stops By
My brother Alan was on his way through on his way from working in New Jersey for the summer, home to Utah. He made a quick stop at the house to spend the night and see his nieces and nephew. We don't get to see him very often, so those few waking hours were a treat.
