Washington D.C. Temple

Joseph and I were so lucky this weekend, we had the privilege of attending the Washington, D.C. Temple. Although it takes about 4 1/2 hours, this is our assigned temple. We had a beautiful drive, early Saturday morning - and then we were so grateful the Bloods let us drop our monkeys off for the afternoon. It probably was a little longer than they were hoping - we were gone for 6 hours. But we enjoyed a stake priesthood meeting on the 7th floor of the temple, an endowment session, and Joseph and I both ran into old friends that we haven't seen for years (which is one reason we took so long). We knew the kids were in great hands and appreciate the Bloods taking their day to help out. The kids didn't want to leave, and we are so grateful for their friendship.

I'm so envious!! I love Washington, D.C. I went there when I was a senior in H.S. I'd love to go back. Glad all is well with you. It was good to "breifly" talk to you on Sunday! Love ya!

Wow, that temple looks so huge and beautiful! I haven't been to that one yet but hope to someday! Isn't that crazy how you run into people in the temple of all places? It's happened to me too and I loved it!

Lucky you! Sorry your temple is SO FAR AWAY! Were you there as it was getting dark?...did you see the lightning bugs? When I was there, that one GUY caught one to show me they REALLY light up! (I thought they were make believe...you know they don't have 'em here on the west!) Hope you get a chance to go back soon! I'll be thinking of you Saturday as I drive my measley hour to the Mesa Temple :) Love ya, Bo Bisa!
