A Day at the Spa

I have the kindest, most thoughtful husband in the world!!! I woke up this morning and Joseph told me I had a 9:00am appointment to have a Pedicure. I thought - Oh, I have such a sweet husband. He knows that life is a little crazy around here most days and wanted to show appreciation for all that I do. Then, as I was leaving he handed me my breast pump and said "Have fun, see you tonight!" So, I show up for my pedicure, and it wasn't only a pedicure, but a full day spa. I was shocked and so very grateful, and of course very excited - almost giddy! I have never done anything like that and oh boy, was it a special treat!!!! I first had a facial and massage - so relaxing, all I could hear was the ocean and sea gulls - it was a happy change from screaming kids. Then I had a deep hair conditioning, hair-cut and style. I know you are thinking - what a lucky girl!!!!! But, that wasn't all, then they fed me lunch, and on to the spa pedicure and manicure. I thought getting a pedicure was the royal treatment (which it is) - but, let me tell you - this was heaven. I sure love you Joseph, and thank you for loving me so perfectly!

I'm pretty sure he deserves the dad/husband of the year award for that one. Taking on 5 kids 5 and under on his own for a whole day??? That's incredible! Good for you - I'm sure that it was close to heaven for you!

Oh my goodness it is so fun to read your blog. A - your kids are adorable and so photogenic, B - I feel like you are always up to something as far as outings or house projects, and C - you are the most positive person I've ever met. Your twins have grown up so much! I still have a bag of boy clothes up in my nursery that someone gave me. I don't want then and would love it if you wanted them. We also have your cooler, so be prepared for a dinner call soon! And you husband is so sweet and thoughtful to do that. You totally deserved it too! And I'm so glad that mother Whitaker came, I hope you have enough jam to last 10 years! Miss you and hope to see you soon!

I am sooo glad for you Lisa - you totally deserve it!! Joseph was so great when he came to pick up the girls after playing, he said something to the effect of, "I can NOT believe how busy Lisa is, I am completely worn out." Sometimes it's good for husbands to wear our shoes for awhile in order to get the full effect of being "mommy":) You'll have to let me know which spa it was, it sounds heavenly! Maybe Joseph can pass on the word to Nate...So glad we know your wonderful family!
